Arusha to Tarangire - Elephant Photography
Pre-dawn departure for Tarangire National Park. Your guide will time the journey to arrive during the golden morning light.
First game drive begins immediately upon entering the park. The early morning light creates magical conditions for photography - warm golden tones, long shadows, and active wildlife.

- Massive elephant herds along the Tarangire River
- Ancient baobab trees as dramatic backgrounds

Morning photography in Tarangire as you exit the park. Focus on:

Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the crater rim for spectacular landscape photography. The view of the crater from the rim is one of the most photographed scenes in Africa.
Afternoon: Photography session at the crater rim:

- Maasai people with their cattle (with permission)
- Dramatic skies over the crater

Ngorongoro Crater - Big Five Photography
Wake up before dawn for the most spectacular photography conditions. The early morning light on the crater floor is magical.
Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a full day photography session. Your guide will position the vehicle for the best angles and compositions.
Morning Photography Focus:
- Lions: Photograph prides at dawn when they are most active
- Black Rhinos: One of the best places in Tanzania to photograph these rare animals
- Elephants: Large tuskers with some of the biggest tusks in Africa
- Flamingos: Thousands of pink flamingos at the alkaline Magadi Lake
Midday: Continue photography on the crater floor:
- Hippos at the Hippo Pool
- Zebras and wildebeest herds
- Birds of prey soaring above the crater
- Environmental portraits showing the scale of the crater
