Please read these terms carefully before booking your safari adventure with us.
Welcome to Serengeti Safaris
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our services and booking of safari packages operated by Bush Lion Tours / Serengeti Safaris. By making a booking with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. We encourage you to read them thoroughly before confirming your reservation.
Booking Terms
All safari bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. To secure your reservation, the following conditions apply:
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
Full payment must be received at least 30 days before the safari start date.
Bookings made within 30 days of departure require immediate full payment.
All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) and are per person unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to adjust prices due to changes in park fees, taxes, or government-imposed levies.
Payment Methods
We offer several convenient payment methods for your safari booking:
Payment details and instructions will be provided upon booking confirmation. All transaction fees are borne by the client.
Cancellation & Date Changes
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is simple:
60+ days
before departure
Full refundminus $100 admin fee
30 – 59 days
before departure
50% refundLess than 30 days
before departure
No refundCancellations must be made in writing via email. The date of receipt determines the applicable refund tier.
Need to Change Your Dates?
We offer flexibility if you need to reschedule your safari:
Free date change — if requested 30+ days before departure (subject to availability).
$50 admin fee — for date changes requested 15–29 days before departure.
Date changes requested less than 15 days before departure are treated as cancellations.
Liability & Risk
While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and enjoyment, safari activities carry inherent risks. Please be aware of the following:
Serengeti Safaris / Bush Lion Tours is not liable for injuries, illnesses, losses, or damages resulting from force majeure, wildlife encounters, or participant negligence.
We are not responsible for changes to itineraries caused by weather conditions, road conditions, government regulations, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Participants engage in safari activities at their own risk. We strongly recommend following all safety guidelines provided by your guide.
We reserve the right to alter or cancel any safari itinerary due to safety concerns, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Travel Insurance
For your peace of mind, we strongly recommend having travel insurance that covers medical expenses and emergency evacuation. This way you can enjoy your safari worry-free, knowing you're protected.

Code of Conduct
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, we require adherence to the following:
Follow all instructions given by your safari guide, especially regarding wildlife encounters and safety protocols.
Do not feed, touch, or disturb wildlife. Maintain a safe distance at all times.
Respect the environment — do not litter, and leave no trace in national parks and conservation areas.
We reserve the right to terminate the safari of any guest whose behavior is deemed disruptive or dangerous, without refund.
